Connector Accessories

Connector accessories such as grommets, strain relief covers, caps, seals, and covers serve various functions in enhancing the performance and durability of connectors.

General Information

  • Grommets: These are used to seal and protect the area where cables enter or exit a connector. They provide insulation and help prevent damage from sharp edges or rough surfaces.
  • Strain Relief Covers: These accessories are designed to provide support to the cable at the point of connection, reducing stress on the wires and preventing damage that can be caused by bending or pulling.
  • Caps: Caps are used to protect the ends of connectors when they are not in use, preventing the ingress of dust, dirt, and moisture that could cause corrosion or short circuits.
  • Seals: Seals are used to prevent moisture, dust, and other contaminants from entering the connector. They are essential for maintaining the integrity of the connection in harsh environments.
  • Covers: Covers provide a protective shell for connectors, shielding them from physical damage and environmental factors.
  • Backshells and Clamps: These provide strain relief and can also offer additional protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI).
  • Cable Glands: These are used to secure and seal the cable entering the connector.
  • Mounting Hardware: This includes screws, nuts, and other hardware used to secure connectors to equipment or panels.
