Circuit Protection
These components are a failsafe that protect people and property if an electrical fault occurs. Circuit protections are essential in any electrical system, and come in a variety of forms; such as circuit breakers, fuse holders, and fuses.
General Information
- Circuit Breakers
Breakers are automatic electrical switches designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by excess current. They work by interrupting the flow of electricity upon detecting a fault condition.
- Fuses
These devices are safety devices consisting of a wire or strip that melts and interrupts the circuit when too much current flows through it, thus preventing potential hazards.
- Fuse Holders
Fuse holders house or clip onto different types and sizes of fuses. Holders can also hold multiple fuses.
