The goal of NEP Electronics is to succeed as a Midwest
regional distributor by focusing on a limited line
card and targeting passive, electromechanical and interconnect
components. Our size and focus allow us to provide
local inventory of a broad selection of our principles
products. NEP emphasizes a strong engineering capability
and customized programs to service their needs.
NEP has earned a solid reputation as a professional,
knowledgeable and aggressive distributor providing
excellent service and competitive pricing to its customers.
In 1977, with over fourteen years of combined sales
experience in the electronic component industry, William
Federighi and Thomas Lotus established NEP Electronics,
Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. Servicing the northern Illinois
market, they earned a reputation for being a knowledgeable,
service-oriented, passive component distributor.
In September of 1982, a second location was opened
in New Berlin Wisconsin to expand NEPs market potential
and service capabilities.
May of 1988, growth enabled NEP to expand into
its current location, a 35,000 sq.ft. corporate
headquarters located in Wood Dale, IL
1992, the NEP Wisconsin office moved into new
facilities with expanded office space. 1993,
NEP develops its quality control department by
hiring a Quality control manager and publishing
a quality policy and procedure manual. Since
then, NEP has sought and won quality certifications
from several major customers.
In addition, Nep continues to increase the space
and resources committed to Esprit, its manufacturing
and value-added facility for cable assemblies
which has quadrupled to over 10,000 Sqr. Ft.
In 2002, NEP celebrated its 25th year of service to the electronic OEM industry.
2006 - NEP Purchased a new facility in Franklin,
WI. This new facility houses 15,000 sq ft of
warehouse and office space.
